We were contacted by East Coast skimboarder Jimmy Henderson who hit us up with a bunch of rad skimboard photos from Old Saybrook, Connecticut at Town Beach, so we decided to do a skimboard spot check.

The skimboarding is nice and relaxed.
View our Skim Spot map and get directions to Ocean Beach
Q. Who can you find skimboarding there?
Lots of people from outside of Connecticut visiting for the summer. But it's the natives that shred the hardest.
Q. Any unique features that separate this spot from other beaches?
There are mud flats during low tide that create river like paths with calm waters, perfect for adding rails and boxes.
Q. What are the best tides for this skim spot?
The best tide is low tide. At high tide the mudflats disappear, so it doesn't have the river like effect. So, it's much harder to find good spots during high tide
Q. Who was skimboarding in these photos?
Scott Cabral and Haydon Lockhart are in the pictures.
Q. Who took these photos?
