Our skim camps have been running for over 10 years at Dash Point State Park. Our camp counselors are pro riders that are friendly and very knowledgeable about what they do. We encourage kids from all ages to join the camps, regardless of their skill level. We will teach you the basics or advanced techniques of skimboarding so you can start shredding at the beach with your favorite skimboard company. This is a great way to get to know the community. You also can benefit from 20% off a new skimboard for participating in any of our camps! This will last until the end of the calendar year. Proof of receipt is required.

We are having ten total sessions at Dash Point State Park. Some days have multiple sessions, so choose carefully when booking! In these classes we work with each kid to ensure they will learn how to skimboard. On top of that we offer other fun beach activities, and on the last day of each session, we have a pizza party for all the kids involved. We also have other pro riders come hangout with the kids and they can show off their new skimboarding skills to the pros! Skim camp is a blast for everyone involved. So come out in the sun and start skimming!

Reminder, the three weekend sessions below are one day sessions only. These are scheduled from 11-1, however we usually always hangout before and after on those days! We charge a different rate than the 4 day sessions for those days. Each 4 day session will be two hours per day.

We provide boards, water, snacks, and sunscreen! Kids are free to bring towels, additional snacks, water, and clothes as they please, but we are not responsible for any lost or stolen merchandise brought to the beach. The tent will be monitored on a periodic basis.

Please see our COVID-19 considerations below. Safety is our number one priority:

• We will be following current CDC and local guidelines at the time of the session.
• If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, please notify us and stay at home. We will be glad to refund or reschedule when you are feeling better!
• Extra sanitation precautions will be made. This includes disinfecting the skimboards, ramps, tools, etc. Towels will not be provided.
• In the event that we are unable to execute a session, you will receive a full refund. We will be giving everyone 48 hours notice if this occurs.

Want to try out skimboarding in an even cooler way!? Sign up for our new skimboarding pool camps! These have padded foam underneath with non-slip material for extra safety. It also features a soft inflated siding, perfect water depth, and plenty of space to learn new moves. Think of this as a slip-n-slide meant for skimboarding! We are offering the same style of camps through these pools. You can register for a four day camp (2 hours each day). Locations for these pools will be in the Tacoma/Seattle areas. We will update the site as soon as we have more information so be on the lookout for those! They will fill up quickly so if you see days available don't wait!

Skim Pool Sessions

Waterfront Market at Ruston! Show up to the market on these day with some swim shorts and try it out or sign up for a camp in the pool!

Pricing: $20 per hour, $40 for lesson for walk ups. Camps are $150 for the week which includes pool use, 8 hours of instruction, t-shirt, and more!

Alchemy Skateboards Collab Camp at Ruston! This Summer Alchemy is partnering with us to offer a joint skim camp. Ever wanted to take your skating to the water? This is the perfect opportunity to try out a new board sport or hone your existing skills. Join an Alchemy instructor as well as long time Skimboard teachers from DB!

Alchemy Session: June 26th - June 29th 10:30-12:30 each day.
